Known for their unhinged live shows and collection of songs that have been
praised by Spin, Entertainment Weekly, Esquire and USA Today, Steel Train is
very excited to premiere this new track and to be debuting new material on
the road as they’re currently on the Tegan & Sarah tour.
Produced by Steven McDonald (Be Your Own Pet, Imperial Teen), Steel Train’s
new album is the follow up to their record, TRAMPOLINE, which saw the band
perform on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and share the stage with The
Silversun Pickups, Ben Folds, Gomez and Say Anything, and appear at Bonnaroo
and Lollapalooza, to name a few. As lead singer and songwriter Jack Antonoff
says, “this new album is a return to where we come from. We grew up playing
legion halls and firehouses and the sound systems were always so bad we had
to go ape shit to put on a real show, and somehow that inspired the music
and lyrics to reflect all that madness.”
Steel Train will also be at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts
Festival on Saturday, April 17th.
