If you’ve been down to St Pancras train station instead of the usual late night shopping on a thursday you might have bared witness to a new showcase project called The Station Sessions. It’s an idea to bring the musical talent of young Blues, Jazz and Indie artist in direct contact with the commuters of the Underground and the talent is definitely there.

On this specific thursday evening the station is in it’s normal mode with people milling around and the odd late traveller darting through the scene in hope of catching a train on time. As The Musgraves start things up with their enchanting melodies the air in the station changes, people take notice and slowly start to gather a crowd. It’s not everyday that you see people genuinely interested but then again The Station Sessions is now ordinary run of the mill busking stage, it’s pure and raw talent the breaks the boundaries of playing in a train station. For the few minutes that The Musgraves inhabit the stage they show off some really fun upbeat melodies and Matthews voice really uplifts the weekly blues of London life in a station. The Station Sessions mission is “To bring contentment to commuters” and with The Musgraves to help them the mission is easily accomplishable.
